Plight of Life

The consensus speaks

Of attainable dreams

Of moves and schemes, I trust

The dues and tithes, I must

Ideals to hold until I'm dust

I've been chasing visions

but catching dreams

I've been throwing dice

hoping they land right

This is my plight

I'm bearing crosses

And battling forces

Fingers crossed

I take no more loses

Because, I will be hard pressed

If I don't see the dawn

My soul will mourn!

Such is the pact I've sworn

Tomorrow

Where am I going friend?

Though I am glowing,

I am still not certain

What lies behind that curtain.

Could it be? The other half, of

My dreams ... don't make me laugh.

Or another treacherous path,

One which I have to pass.

This mystery sends my mind

Through visions far beyond

The truth of what has denied

My eyes of what lies behind

That curtain called Tomorrow.

Six And Death
