Original fiction by Aloysius

Bio

Aloysius T. Mapani recently celebrated his 10000th day on the globe —a feat which sadly does not translate proportionally to having acquired enough useful knowledge of the world. Aloysius suffers from idea-litis, a condition which makes him think of ridiculous, at times brilliant but probably useless ideas at inopportune times. As such, during his formative years he developed a love for reading and writing. Now, when he is not looking at the greasy (sometimes immaculate) innards of diesel engines he spends his free time trying to articulate his ideas in literary form for the reader’s enjoyment. With his fiction works and poetry he aims not to be didactic but rather, to simply entertain and explore certain themes and ideas with the reader. However, as is the nature with all writing, a writer’s philosophy bleeds through everything he touches.  He hopes you find something you enjoy whether it is flash fiction or poetry.

Ellis returns to his hometown Salles to find a gibbet erected on Salles hill. Adding to his distress is the identity of the individual who is about to be hanged no later than the very next afternoon -Eleazer Menzies himself!

And as if this wasn't troubling enough, talk of the occult and that unmistakable fog Ellis sees engulfing Salles upon his return seem to be foreshadowing an even greater tragedy.
